The best part of summer is all about digging and pruning and moving and transplanting, cut flowers and fresh herbs, daisies on the table and pesto in the pot. But it's a lot of work too, unless like me you think of it as meditation. In any case, it's time to get your hands dirty, people!
At least in cold climes, this is an almost holy time of year, when snow and ice give way to dreams of bright flowers, lovely shrubs, pungent herbs and gorgeous red, ripe tomatoes that actually taste like tomatoes. Whether you favor an elaborate formal garden or a humble patch of organic vegetables, xeriscaping with cacti or a pond full of frogs'n'water lilies, these gardeners have something for you. It could be a bit of expert advice or merely a fellow amateur's thoughtful inspiration. But these feeds will help you turn your thumb green.
